Over the past year and a half, the value of Catholic education has become more apparent than ever before. And thanks to the generosity of CEF supporters, CEF has been able to meet the growing need as enrollment across the Archdiocese climbs and schools work to make space. During the ‘21-’22 school year, CEF plans to provide a record $3 million in scholarship funding to low-income students.

"Dear CEF Donor,

Thank you for the great amount of support. It makes people into successful people, and frowns into great, big, and bright smiles. You give people the chance to go to a Catholic school. You give people the chance to take huge steps closer to God.

I get to study the Bible stores. Recently, I've gotten to study the Rosary! Also, I get to go to Mass! Speaking of Mass, our Catholic school lets us do parts of the Mass. I got a Mass part!

Your friend,

Judah"

In 2006, CEF established the Antoinette D. Berkel Memorial Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded each summer to Wyandotte County Catholic school students who exemplify a caring heart and a dedication to community service.

These scholarships benefit students heading into their 8th grade year, and recipients are nominated by their school principals.

Congratulations to the recipients for the 2021-22 school year below!

Put Catholic education within reach of every student.
