At Holy Family Catholic School, we are extremely honored to be chosen the 2016 CEF School of Excellence. There are so many wonderful Catholic schools in the Archdiocese with such talented staff and great students. We are proud that the hard work and dedication of the entire school is being recognized. 

The award holds a special place in our hearts as we celebrate Holy Family’s ten year anniversary. Ten years ago, Our Lady of Guadalupe, a traditional Hispanic parish, and Scared Heart/St. Joseph, a traditional German parish, consolidated. The communities were asked to bring two very rich and unique cultures together as one. It took time, care, and prayer, but we were successful. The School of Excellence award recognizes our journey to becoming one holy family.

One of our sayings at Holy Family, “Let Your Light Shine!” embodies what our family strives for. We ask our students to let their God-given talents shine; shine in their actions, thoughts, and work. Our teachers' and staff members' light radiates in the way they teach and care for every child. Through active participation and the sharing of time, talent, and treasure our parents and community members bring their light to our family.

This award is a tiny blessing that lets us know God sees and CEF sees a shimmer of our light. All of our efforts, perseverance, and dedication to the betterment of our children through Catholic education are making a difference. We are grateful for this award and we will continue to work hard, pray hard, and let God do the rest.

Thank you to the donors and staff of CEF, who make it possible for so many of our children to attend Holy Family. We wouldn’t be receiving this award without your generosity and commitment to Catholic education. We are honored, we are grateful, and we are blessed. Thank you and Let Your Light Shine!
