Who is eligible for CEF scholarships?

Students who have significant financial need and attend one of the CEF-supported schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas may be eligible for a scholarship award.

How does my child apply for a scholarship?

Contact the school’s principal. Click here for a complete list of CEF-supported schools and contact information.

Does my child have to be Catholic to be considered for a scholarship?

No. We believe every child should have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education at a CEF school.

How are CEF traditional scholarship schools selected?

For our traditional tuition assistance funding, CEF schools are selected based on each school's percentage of students who qualify for the federal free and reduced lunch program.

How do students qualify for Kansas tax credit scholarships?

Parents should contact the Catholic K-8 school of their choice to inquire about CEF tax credit scholarships. The principal or enrollment coordinator will help you prepare a simple application for the program. CEF submits applications for each student to the KS State Dept. of Education, which determines eligibility for students who qualify for federal free or reduced lunch. CEF awards the scholarship money for each eligible student to the school. Once the student is awarded a tax credit scholarship and enrolls in one of our Catholic schools, he or she may continue to use this scholarship funding throughout his/her K-12 education in Catholic schools.

What if my child’s school is not supported by CEF?

If you are seeking financial assistance and your child’s school is not part of CEF’s scholarship programs, contact your child’s principal or pastor to discuss your situation. All Catholic schools in the Archdiocese work to make Catholic education possible for every family that desires it.

Put Catholic education within reach of every student.
