Thanks to your generosity, Gaudeamus 2018 raised more than $1.2 million in pledges for scholarships!
On October 20, 2018, more than 1,300 people gathered at the Overland Park Convention Center for the Catholic Education Foundation's annual Gaudeamus ("Let Us Rejoice") Dinner. The celebration, which honored Hamp & Nikki Henning and Glenn & Joan Wells as the 2018 "Michael and Patty Morrisey Angels Among Us," resulted in more than $1.2 million pledged for CEF scholarships, a record amount!
During the program, Christ the King Parish School received the 2018 CEF School of Excellence Award. The Mater Dei Catholic School Drumline, the Youth Choir from Holy Trinity Catholic School in Lenexa and singer Ron Gutierrez provided entertainment. Christa Dubill served as the evening's emcee, and Toby Cook provided live interviews of event guests, which were broadcast during the program.
The volunteers who helped make Gaudeamus possible included dozens of CEF students who assisted throughout the evening by passing out programs, helping guests find their tables, and handing out gifts blessed by Archbishop Naumann. Following the dinner, hundreds of Gaudeamus guests stayed to enjoy dancing and live music by KC FLO.
THANK YOU to all the sponsors, guests, and volunteers who helped make Gaudeamus 2018 such a huge success for the children and families who benefit from CEF's scholarship program! Your support is truly changing lives!
