It’s that time of year again!
October 20th will be a night to remember as we support the Catholic Education Foundation at its annual event, Gaudeamus. The Catholic Education Foundation provides scholarships for students with financial need to attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
Gaudeamus is our biggest event of the year. It has been on The Independent magazine’s list of Top Ten events in Kansas City for six years in a row!

Being chosen as the Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann CEF School of Excellence for 2018 is a great honor for us at Christ the King Parish School. We have a long-standing tradition of providing not only a faith-filled education for our students, but we strive to meet the individual needs of every child in our school. I wish everyone affiliated the Catholic Education Foundation and anyone who supports Catholic education could see the joy-filled students whose lives you are changing.

As a member of the Gaudeamus Committee, I had the privilege of spending some time at Resurrection Catholic School this past spring. Resurrection is supported by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) and is located in Kansas City, KS. The principal and about nine middle school students were our gracious hosts for the day. They gave us a tour of the school and then joined us for lunch in one of the classrooms.
