CEF's Guardian Angel Fund recently provided scholarship assistance for an 8th grade student who has had significant health issues, resulting in surgery, hospitalization and large medical expenses. Shortly after the student's surgery, her mother became seriously ill and was unable to work. The father, who had been working 2 jobs, had to reduce his work hours to help care for his wife and daughter. As a result of the medical expenses and decreased income, the family was unable to pay the daughter's tuition.

The daughter had some health concerns, resulting in large medical bills that they were unable to afford. The father has been out of work for six months, leaving the family with income only from the mother's housekeeping job. Their home is in foreclosure.
