The CEF Futures Committee is excited to host the 5th Annual Art Event, which will take place Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Boulevard Brewery! Tickets are $45 and include an art exhibit, live entertainment, appetizers and Boulevard drinks. The event features beautiful and unique art pieces from local artists. Also, an art piece from each CEF school will be raffled off at the end of the night (these pieces have been known to wow us)!
The CEF Futures Committee is a group of young professionals who are committed to promoting the mission of CEF, and having a lot of fun along the way! We are here to ensure that all children attending a CEF school have the scholarship support they need to stay in school even when their families face unexpected financial difficulties. The Art Event has given us this opportunity. The success of this event allows the Futures Committee to fund Guardian Angel scholarships, which provide short-term, emergency scholarship assistance for families in a CEF supported school when an unexpected crisis (job less, medical emergency, etc.) impacts their ability to pay tuition.
Many people, like me, took their Catholic education for granted growing up, but over the years CEF has really opened my eyes and heart to the opportunities that Catholic education has created for these children and their families. It has truly been rewarding and inspiring to be part of such an amazing organization and I am proud to serve on this committee. There are not many non-profit organizations that can say that 100% of funds raised go directly to services for children living in poverty.
