The Catholic Education Foundation received a grant today from the Matthews Children’s Foundation, in partnership with Porter Funeral Homes. Over the past 11 years, support from the Matthews Children’s Foundation has allowed 15 students who couldn't otherwise afford it to attend a CEF-supported school. Thanks to their generosity, 15 families have realized their dream of high-quality, faith-filled education.
The academic outcomes for Catholic Education Foundation students are significant: 98.7% graduate from the CEF-supported high school, compared to 77% of their peers at the neighborhood high school just 3 blocks away. In addition, 98% of graduates from the CEF-supported high school attend college, compared to fewer than 40% of graduates from the nearby neighborhood school.
