Being chosen as the Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann CEF School of Excellence for 2018 is a great honor for us at Christ the King Parish School. We have a long-standing tradition of providing not only a faith-filled education for our students, but we strive to meet the individual needs of every child in our school. I wish everyone affiliated the Catholic Education Foundation and anyone who supports Catholic education could see the joy-filled students whose lives you are changing.

We at Christ the King do not take our vocation lightly. The CTK faculty and staff is second-to-none in not just their dedication, diligence, and high standards, but also in the love and care they show to their students every day. Our faculty visits the homes of our students, and the pastor and I have met with almost half of our families thus far to visit face-to-face about the dreams we all have for our children.

Christ the King has worked very hard to make a difference in our students’ lives. The scholarship support that Christ the King receives from the Catholic Education Foundation is vital to the success of the school and these students. These children excel at CTK because of the love and support they get daily when they enter the school each morning. Christ the King embraces the opportunity as not only our privilege but our calling to help our children to live a life that Christ would be happy to see.

We are confident that thousands of lives are impacted by the things we are doing in our Catholic schools in this Archdiocese. Knowing the efforts that all CEF-supported schools are providing for the children and their families makes this award even more humbling. The Catholic Education Foundation is a blessing for our students and thousands more in our Archdiocese, and we would not be here if not for them. We are honored to accept this award, and look forward to celebrating with the CEF community at Gaudeamus on October 20.
