Guardian Angel Fund Provides Scholarship for Family After Cancer Diagnosis

Posted on June 9, 2016 in Guardian Angel Fund

A family with two children in a CEF school recently received a Guardian Angel Fund scholarship from CEF after the mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her treatment schedule caused both parents to miss a significant amount of work, leading to a decrease in their income and difficulty in keeping up with their school tuition payments.

As the principal shared in her scholarship application on their behalf, “This diagnosis has been devastating to the family as they are a very close knit group. The parents have talked to the kids about the possibility of them having to attend a public school because they are running out of money. The oldest child has been in my office every day this week asking if I can help. Assistance (from CEF’s Guardian Angel Fund) … would relieve just a small amount of stress during this very difficult time.”

The Guardian Angel scholarship they received is funded through events hosted by the CEF Futures and is intended to assist families facing an unexpected financial crisis. Contact us for more information on becoming part of the CEF Futures.
