For the fifth year in a row, CEF’s signature event, Gaudeamus, is on The Independent magazine’s list of top events in Kansas City – moving up to #3 this year!
Gaudeamus (“Let Us Rejoice”) first appeared on The Independent’s list for its 2011 event, ranking #9. As Gaudeamus has grown each year, it has moved up the list. Gaudeamus made the Top Five beginning in 2013, then moved to #4 in 2014. When The Independent announced its Top Events of 2015 earlier this year, Gaudeamus had moved to #3.
Congratulations to the Gaudeamus Committee, and THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the event such a success for children in need! With your help, Gaudeamus 2015 sold out with more than 1,500 guests and raised more than $1 million for CEF scholarships, setting new records for the event. The funds raised through the event helped CEF provide more than 1,400 scholarships this year for children living in poverty.
