Exciting Things on the Horizon for CEF

My name is Tiffany Goddard Snyder and I have been on the Catholic Education Foundation Board now for a few years. I love being part of this Board and this organization for so many reasons. I feel more connected to my faith as a Catholic just spending time with other Catholics, spending time with Archbishop Naumann and meeting with our CEF school administrators and CEF scholarship kids. These children are always so humble and grateful for all that CEF does for them and their families.

Providing CEF scholarships is the single best reason to be a part of this Board. This year, CEF provided scholarships totaling more than $1.3 million for 1,402 students at 20 schools.

I have enjoyed getting to know my fellow Board members, celebrating their life experiences and laughing at our quarterly Board meetings. I love the work that the CEF marketing committee has done over the past 3 years. Our branding is on point and we are gaining momentum. Our signature event, Gaudeamus, sold out last year with 1,511 guests and brought in more than $1 million for CEF scholarships, making it the 3rd largest fundraising event in Kansas City in 2015.

I believe that CEF is positioned to do so many great things in the near future. We are growing and there is a lot more awareness about the organization in the Kansas City area. I also love the events we are planning with the CEF Futures group and bringing on new staff members. In all these ways, we’re working hard to close the gap between our current resources and the unmet need in our community. We know another 395 kids are awaiting our help right now to enroll in a CEF school. Our growing organization is poised to make their dreams for a high-quality, faith-filled education come true.

I am so excited to see what happens next for CEF, our staff, our board members, our supporters and, most importantly, our schools and our kids!
