joined us for CEF Day at the KC Pumpkin Patch on October 5! We enjoyed
live music by the Hamptones, plenty of pumpkins, and dozens of fun
activities throughout the day. Proceeds from the event funded 3 CEF scholarships.

CEF Futures Art Event at Boulevard Brewery

THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our
first-ever "First Thursday" Art Event at Boulevard Brewery such a success! The event sold out a week in advance, and raised more
than $13,000 - enough to fund scholarships for 13 children living in

More than 1,200 people gathered October 20 for Gaudeamus 2012.The event raised more than $717,000 to fund scholarships for children in need!
Archbishop Joseph Naumann, accompanied by Archbishop Emeritus James
Keleher, accepted the Angels Among Us Award on behalf of all the Bishops
and Archbishops, past and present, of Northeast Kansas. St. Matthew
School in Topeka received the School of Excellence Award.
MC Stan Cramer, TV and radio personality, introduced a "Best of CEF" video with highlights from past Gaudeamus presentations, and Tony Subasic, a junior at Bishop Ward High School, shared his experiences as a Catholic school student. Guests
also enjoyed live interviews of attendees, conducted by guest
interviewer Christa Dubill and a crew from 41 Action News. Ron Gutierrez
and the Curé of Ars Youth Choir, directed by Ellen Tuttle, provided
musical entertainment during the program and the after party. Each guest
took home a prayer card and coin featuring an angel design created by a CEF student.

Inspiring Women Luncheon
May 3, 2012
More than 700 people attended the Inspiring Women 2012 Luncheon. The five speakers (Leawood Mayor Peggy Dunn, Silpada co-founders Bonnie Kelly & Teresa Walsh, and Miss Sue & Collins Tuohy, featured in The Blind Side) inspired attendees with their own stories of Career, Education, and Faith. The event raised funds for 97 scholarships for students in need! Guests were invited to stay afterwards for a Q&A session with the five speakers, and each guest took home a pair of angel earrings from Silpada.

CEF Futures Bowling Night and Trivia Night
The 2012 Futures events - a Bowling Night at St. John's and a Trivia Night at Holy Name School - raised more than $7,000 for CEF scholarships.
